Only 30 years old, Martha Stewart Living’s Senior Syle Editor Eddie Ross is an established triple threat, conquering catering, publishing, and television. You wouldn’t want to be his competitor – as a brave few were, in Season 2 of Bravo’s Top Design – but you’d certainly want to hang around and benefit from all that talent: cooking (“so…lunch?”) designing (“Eddie – my table settings need help.”) and all-around styling (“Hey, I’m at the flea market. Are brass antlers a good thing?”) Luckily for the rest of us, his blog is anything but threatening, with friendly style, design and shopping ideas for every taste and budget. Eddie’s own impeccable taste has graced House Beautiful, The Food Network and now Martha Stewart Living – but until now, has anyone asked this Connecticut native where to get really good pizza?

How often do you think about eating?

To be honest, I try not to because even when I do, I put on pounds!

Coffee craving?

Mornings, definitely. Jaithan’s and my ritual at home is a strong espresso roast from the Amish Market around the corner, made in French press. So delicious.

Favorite hometown food?

There’s a place I love in Greenwich called Garden Catering. My favorite is the High School Special—all white meat chicken nuggets with potato puffs. Or, if you’re up to it, try the High School Heart Attack—the same dish topped with chili and cheese. I like mine dipped in ranch sauce. Oh so trashy. Oh so good.

Ever been served breakfast in bed?

No, but I did it for my mother once on her birthday. It was soft-boiled eggs with toast and French butter, a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice and French press coffee. The plate was English ironstone with a gorgeous linen napkin and a single Casablanca lily, all in an antique wicker bed tray. She loved it!

Your absolutely reliable, go-to dish for entertaining is:

Individual Beef Wellington with homemade béarnaise sauce and roasted root vegetables. Perfect for winter!

Food that makes you gag?

Fresh tomatoes. I know…I know…I can eat them just about any other way—cooked, stewed, roasted—but not fresh.

Worst kitchen disaster:

Once, when I was a caterer, it was clean-up time and the food disposal literally exploded under the sink. It was a total disaster!

Three things in your refrigerator right now:

1. Spicy Chicken Chili I just made
2. Olives, cheeses and cured meats
3. Wine, Champagne and Pellegrino

Your idea of a romantic meal is:

The corner table at Bar Marché, my favorite French restaurant in the city. Jaithan and I both love it! The churros with caramel ice cream are to-die-for.

Secret snack of shame?

Ruffles dipped in Temp-Tee cream cheese.

Most ambitious thing you’ve ever done in the kitchen:

Going to the Culinary Institute of America.

Best restaurant if you’re not paying:

Per Se

If you were a cocktail, what would you be?

Planter’s Punch because it’s cold outside and I’d much rather be watching the sunset on a remote island.

Extra Credit: Where is the world’s best pizza?

Hands down, Glenville Pizza in Greenwich, Conn.
