Thanks so much, Diana! I too love Midwest Living – the food, the getaway towns, all of it. Even if I lived in Antarctica, I’d still want to know where the best ice cream was in Indiana – it’s a treasure.

And I second the broken-cheesecake dessert. What could be bad?

What a great interview!
This is MY FAVORITE magazine. My mom has a subscription and every few months when I travel to visit her the first words out of her mouth is “A new Midwest Living came!” And then we read and chat and “oooooh” and “aaaaah” over all of the pictures. When she’s done with it, she makes sure to slip it into my bag to bring home.

(and before you start thinking, “if it’s her favorite magazine, why doesn’t she have a subscription of her own?” I’ll tell you. I have about 50 magazine subscriptions. So does she. This is the only one we both get excited about. So if I had my own, it would spoil the fun of hearing those words, “A new Midwest Living came!” and spoil her excitement of sharing it with me. One day, I’m sure I’ll have my own sub………but it won’t be nearly as much fun.)
