Visiting Paris last summer, we saw this image splashed on many a corner.

“Obama: Can He Change America?”

And now we know.
(Yeah, the 12-year old had a glass. Six hot wings, a few pizzas, leftover candy and one election later, she’s out cold. Bad parents!)

As the President-elect himself said, “All things are possible.” What a happy and historic day this is! I just hung on every word of his victory speech. Wonderful.
Bad parents?? No way. This will be a night she will remember forever. Great parents!
dawn
Everytime I read the news reports I get all choked up and teary. So happy. Actually quite proud to be an American today. I keep thinking about all the “I’m Sorry” pictures that went around the internet during the last election and how embarrassing that election was on a world platform. We didn’t let down the world last night. Hurrah!!
Hi Marylin!
You’ve had yesterday a wonderful democratic day!! And from time to time, a celebration with champagne and pizza is possible and very good for the kids! You aren’t bad parents
I wish I could have been in Grant Park last night. I got goosebumps when the official results were announced. I’m feeling good!
I’m glad you made the election a family event. We’re trying to instill the importance of voting and the democratic process in our four-year-old. I was so proud of my daughter because she didn’t complain once as we watched the election results, and she asked several questions.
If there is any occasion for a 12-year-old to have champagne, this is it! Elise (3) wanted a sip of my Obama-Rama cocktail — I think just because it was a pretty color of blue. I told her I really didn’t think she’d like the taste, and she changed her mind. (Though I wouldn’t have been opposed to just a sip.)
Happy day.
Your title says it all.
Love it! Champagne was definitely in order for such a happy victory.
Happy Halloween! (late)
