Pie Puzzle

Something freakishly delicious is coming.

Something with bananas and graham crackers,

homemade dulce de licious – I mean, dulce de leche.

Something with a charming accent, a little chocolate and a lot of calories. We’ll make it together, but first…what is it?
I love this. It’s like Highlights for dessert-obsessed adults. Next up, “Goofus and Gallant make Creme Caramel!”

Looks like Banana Creme Pie to me! Even if it isn’t it looks delicious anyway!
Oh my God. I don’t know what it is, but I’m going with Jeanette’s guess! Gosh, give us that recipe!
I’m thinking the same thing.
How about Dulce de Leche Banana Cream Pie?
Marilyn, your food porn photos are some of THE best on the net!
I’m going to call it Bananas Foster Pie. I don’t know if it has a name already, but that’s what it sounds like to me. (You could put some rum in the dulce de leche, right?)
Banoffee Pie
I LOVE Highlights! And that pie looks deeevine! Yum, gimme some!
oh my that just looks amazingly delicious… that cream and the chocolate shavings n banana… im salivating as we speak
I’m holding up 2 fingers since I will require 2 slices. I’m a banana freak.
Hi Marilyn,
I don’t know what is but it’ll be absolutely spectacular between the photos and the ingredients!! Dulce de leche and chocolate…lots of calories, preparing my workout to burn them after try in it
Why put up all the tantalizing pictures and no recipe???? that’s just cruel. I don’t want to guess what it is. I want to make it….
Marilyn loves to toy with us, Trey.
By Jove, Carol’s right. I do love to toy, because gosh, desserts are fun!
I loved all of your answers and indeed, there’s a correct one among them. The pie title – and recipe – will be posted tomorrow. Thank you all for the patient guessing.
it’s totally banoffee pie–i just saw danny boome make it on the food network. i was drooling the entire time, both over the pie and over his accent and absolute adorableness.
Grace: I mentioned the words “Danny Boome” to my daughter and she started squealing and jumping. Perhaps I need to check the guy, the pie and the accent out?
i would gladly come and clean your toilets for a chance to keep and eat the whole bottom layer alone in one sitting. directly put, the lucsious pinwheel of dulce de leche image is my all-time favorite foodie photo blog image… and i have sullied the perfection of it, and banoffee pie, by including the word toilet in this comment.
i am so not worthy of this pie.
I recently discovered how much I like bananas with maple or caramel. Sometimes I’ll have a banana sliced in oatmeal drizzled with maple syrup and it’s sooo good! The perfect amount of sweet for the morning.
I’ve never had dulce de leche though – I just might have to get going on that!
