I’m with you. I hug trees and eat granola also. I like this post. You tactfully skim politics without offending or being holier than thou. This is difficult to do. I get really boisterous about politics when I’ve had a bit too much tequila to drink. Fortunately, my Republican in-laws are good natured about this. They know that they’ll be entertained when “Margarita Boy” rears his ugly head. This is why I don’t drink and blog.

I’d still eat Texas BBQ with President Bush. I’ll reach across party lines for some good food any day.

We’ve been following the election from here in the UK with a combined sense of excitement and increasing nervousness. I can’t quite decide if it is really happening or if the US is playing some kind of vast practical joke on the rest of the world:
‘You know what would be just hilarious?’
‘Whut?’
‘If we picked the most small-minded, right-wing, politically retarded nutjob pro-life Christian and put her, yup, her, on the ballot paper.’
‘How would that be funny?’
‘Oh come on! The rest of the world would wee themselves in amusement!’

And the fact that Bill O’Reilly doesn’t eat Brie really doesn’t surprise me. I imagine that he survives on a strict diet of bile and raw babies. And scraps from Rush Limbaugh’s table.

in the context of this post i almost hate to admit a certain fondness for moose meat, but hey, i dig big game! and i am certain you could concoct a meal incorporating moose and brie! you work on that, i’ll grab another bottle of the red (which works well with the moose, fyi) and, if i may, i’ll bring a guest…one maraca kabob! he’s my guy, afterall, and i am quite sure he would be game to try the game. he is an advocate of change, dont ya know!!
