Julia never lingered long in the kitchen growing up. She loved being up in her bedroom that she had decorated herself (and it was the warmest, most comfortable room in the house where everyone wanted to be). Many times she had to lock her door to get some privacy to read or write while the rest of her family wanted to hear her thoughts and ideas. We did spend a lot of time conversing into the early morning hours about school, friends, boys, etc., and it was always fun to hear her take on what was going on in her world.

She’s an amazing young woman with many gifts and talents, as well as being a great Mom to two of my wonderful Grandchildren. Course, I am her mom so I may be a bit biased.

Sweet on one side and tart on the other…..I too hate those meat patties at cookouts. My in laws serve them…. Tastless….

Great interview Julia I too have a knack for burning things (just keep me away from the toast!).

Lemon drop, lemon drop… hmmm I have no clue who was the first. I’ve never even had a lemon drop and now you have me craving one.
