In my south Georgia town the "farmer's market" consist of 3 vendors all selling: tomatoes; cantelope; watermelon; okra and onions. That is it - and you pass at least three corner produce stands to get there - all selling tomatoes; cantelope; watermelon; okra and onions. Really sad. Maybe that could be a vacation idea . . . :) I have to say I am jealous – I love the pictures. Heidi: I totally agree. Fall is my favorite season and I think the farmer's market is at its most gorgeous filled with squash, cornstalks, and pumpkins. Sometimes the line to buy them stretches around the block. Also every week, the Oak Park Farmer's Market Bluegrass Band plays its folksy music. We love it.
