Josie said “Mom, this is so not you.”
“This is completely not normal.”
“Are you okay?”
“I mean, it’s just not something you would do.“

And they say we can’t learn new tricks. What not-normal birthday cake dropped my jaded girl’s jaw and made a pack of sixth-graders grab like toddlers?
