I Heart Pad Thai

When they set pad thai down in front of us (Josie chicken and tofu, mine beef) we always say “oh, I won’t finish that…”

But somehow, it gets eaten. And eaten. When we lived in Chicago, there were good Thai places about every two feet. I ate it for lunch every day for a year, and when we moved I was sure I could never eat it again. What can I say? When it comes to noodles, there is, apparently, always room for more.
Who loves the pad thai? We do. Do you?
I do, I do! That was the one thing I craved the most during my last pregnancy. Yum.
I sooo love pad thai. My favourite Thai restaurant serves an ‘Islamic’ variety… basically pad thai with a curry coconut milk sauce. So yummy.
I love Zen Zero’s pad thai. It was the first thing I ever ate tofu in.
Mussaman pad thai? That sounds fantastic, wanderluster. Anything with coconut milk has my undivided attention.
Until last fall, I lived at Argyle/Winthrop in Chicago…in the middle of a whole neighborhood of Thai, Vietnamese, and Cambodian restaurants. Getting pad thai is a bit more of an effort now, but always worth it. (Love the “33″ beer!)
I love pad thai. When I started Weight Watchers and found out that 1 cup of pad thai was 10 points, I cried. Argh!!!

Greg loves that Export 33, Josie likes to order guava juice, and I like iced green tea – every now and then I indulge in an iced Thai coffee with sweetened condensed milk at the bottom. Mmm.
Moderne Mama, I also like Thai beef salad – but when I first saw your comment, I swore it said “yum yum soup,” and I thought yum yum soup? I want some of that.

Oh, I LOVE Thai food. I’m a big fan of green curry… LOVE it. And the Thai iced coffee… just fabulous! Keeps me on edge for days!
Just discovered Bubble Tea…yum.
Yes! I heart Pad Thai too! It’s so tough to stop eating when it’s good.
