Got a few hours? It was kind of a long year.

Sometimes you have to start from scratch.

When I started Simmer Till Done, my old blog and blog program absolutely positively refused to let me import the old entries. That means new readers couldn’t discover our crazy year building a new old house, and old readers couldn’t revisit the highs and lows – really, who can forget? Waiting for the lintel, waiting for limestone, waiting for a place to live, waiting for paint to dry.
It was so darn exciting, getting it here was a must. It took some doing, but that year has finally been lovingly and painstakingly and manually brought over to Simmer. Like the house, it took a long time.
But you, dear reader, you can have it all in a few hours.

If you do go back and read a few, please remember that my old pokey blog program wouldn’t let me import any comments, either, so they look a little…quiet. It’s not like people didn’t care about the staircase or anything…or Josie’s spelling bee…or the drawer hardware…you know, it all seemed important at the time.
So pour some tea (apparently not Earl Grey, for some) and get comfy! I’ll send over the scones.
By the way, I’m not the only one pushing tea and snacks these days. Rechelle over at the Country Doctor’s Wife put her archives, and the story of her farmhouse, into a whole new blog.
