Greg found this terrific vintage desk for Josie on eBay.
And though we both loved its super cool Eames-era blond wood looks, this is the age of Josie hating anything that we might like.
So he did what any sensitive modern dad would do.
He emailed that eBay find to his daughter and asked her opinion on the matter.
There is no quicker route to preteen agreement. Show them that you care what they think.
Even if you are the eBay master and you don’t actually care.
It’s loving your kid enough to give the illusion of caring that counts.
And that is today’s eBay lesson in parenting. Share the buying.
If they disagree, get it anyway.
