Vintage Baker – Not Trash, but is it Treasure?
Jan 22nd, 2008 by Marilyn
A few years back we found this lovely little chair for an absurdly low price in a local antique mall. It’s by Baker Furniture, and I’m guessing it dates from the 50′s.
But I can’t be sure – and although I don’t need to know, exactly, I want to. And that’s fine, because the good talented people at Baker Furniture want me to know, too.
The Baker web site’s FAQ (apparently, they’re owned by Kohler Co. now) describes how you can email them photos of your vintage Baker for a history and informal appraisal of your piece.
Has anyone out there done this with Baker? I don’t care if it’s trash or treasure; I just love the chair and its lacquered, gilded goodness.
Treasure would be good, too.

Hi! I have been doing a lot of research and it has all the hallmarks of a Bakers piece. I bought two end tables with a lip on the top and very ornate legs. Inside it says “Bakers Furniture” and I would love to take pics and get info from the company. If it works out let me know.
Regards,
Kate
